We use the following ingredients to make our Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food a diverse and powerful biostimulant.

• Lobster Meal - Lobster meal is rich in amino acids, calcium and chitin which help with cell wall development, stem strength and disease resistance. High in nitrogen, it also helps promote healthy green foliage.
• Kelp Meal - The kelp absorbs nutrients from the ocean and contains 60 or more minerals and trace elements not found in traditional fertilizers. It also contains natural compounds that increase environmental stress tolerance and enhance root growth.
• Fish Bone Meal - High in phosphorous, fish bone meal initiates strong root growth and budding and flowering. The amino acids in the fish bone meal improve the micro flora of the soil thereby facilitating the absorption of nutrients. This in turn increases the growth and vitality of the plant and helps to build and support the plant’s natural immune system.
• Alfalfa Meal - Microorganisms in the soil love alfalfa because of the protein, amino acids, fiber and sugars it contains. Because it is plant-based, it is easily broken down for a quick source of vitamins,and minerals. Alfalfa stimulates plant growth, helps flowering plants bloom faster and longer during the season, and provides drought resistance.
• Feather Meal - A slow-release nitrogen source that when blended into the soil decomposes to make the nitrogenous compounds available to the plants.
• Worm Castings - A slow release organic fertilizer made by earthworms. Castings contain enzymes and other metabolites that assist in increasing the microbial activity in the soil.
• Perlite - The porous surface of perlite provides room for air and water, boosting root aeration which allows for healthy root development.
• Potassium - Potassium sulfate also works as a slow release fertilizer. It has a low salt index, and is the preferred source of potassium in all-natural fertilizers.
• Epsom Salts - Epsom salts are water-soluble and are particularly beneficial to magnesium-hungry crops, such as potatoes, roses, tomatoes, lemon trees and peppers.
